The numbers who are entering hospitals with maimed limbs have increased due to the war situation in the North. There was an urgent request for elbow crutches and normal crutches for use by those who have been injured. 25 pairs of elbow crutches and 50 pairs of normal crutches at a discounted price of Rs 94,500 were handed to the Hospital on May 17, 2008. The crutches will be taken on to the inventory of the Hospital and will be handed individually to persons who are in need.

A special fund has been created for any persons who wish to contribute to this worthy cause.
